Philippe Cécile, Master of Art, ornament embroider specialized in furniture embroidery, makes restorations and creations of prestigious works belonging to the patrimony, following traditional craft methods.

Philippe Cécile’s workshop enjoys a supreme notoriety among the curators, antiques dealers, private or public institutions and collectors, thanks to his deep knowledge of the different methods used in furniture embroidery.

Philippe Cécile is particularly renowned for his skills on very difficult and delicate works, for instance when the furniture is so damaged that the preservation of the tapestry or of the embroidery seems impossible.For example, he has invented a unique method to restore gold-laces which had been oxidized or to revive washed-out colours on a damaged fabric.His artistic culture, partly based on his private collection made up with many models, and his workmanship of a rare precision , enable him to make “style pour le style” restorations on any embroidery without interpreting, always staying as close as possible to authenticity, keeping every characteristic of each style, time, materials or composition.
